California Sierra Trail Race
An adventure of mind and body
Well, here it is, the start of an adventure 5 years in the making. I started this route as a way to extend my trips from my home in the tiny town of Foresthill to Lake Tahoe by bike, something I've been doing for the better part of 10 years. As I got more into bikepacking adventures and my knowledge of the surrounding Sierra foothills and the Lake Tahoe region increased I was able to put together longer and longer loops. This race is a result of those adventures.......
When: Saturday, September 8th, 2012.
Where: Auburn California ( exact location to be determined by amount of fools, er, racers...)
What: 478 miles from Auburn around Lake Tahoe and back using State Park trails, historic mining trails, Forest Service dirt and paved roads and the world famous Tahoe Rim Trail.
